All the same – a song about us all

Not that new of a song really, but finally recorded it. The sound is so-so but I think the message is a simple yet an important one. Who cares about race, religion, sexual orientation and all our other differences. We are richer as a People because of these differences, not in spite of them. We have so many other things to worry about like how our Earth is slowly but surely warming up and decaying. We cannot waste time debating about the right or wrong of everyone’s intimate choices.

Now, can we all just accept each other, just the way you are?

Jan 23 concert – “Gravity”

An old song, that I wrote for the wedding of very close friends. Now it is meaningful to me too. Recorded at 北参道 カフェストロボ.

Lyrics

I came here, I don’t really know why. I guess I had lost myself somehow. I was looking for another way of life, but I found another way to live around you.

When I fall asleep with you by my side, I’m afraid I am gonna wake up just to find you’re not real. When I wake up in the morning, and you’re still asleep, and it still feels like I’ m dreaming….

I was on my cloud, dragged down by gravity, reaching out for space but I’m bound to reality. But in your eyes, I can fly.

When I fall asleep with you by my side, I’m afraid I am gonna wake up just to find you’re not real. When I wake up in the morning, and you’re still asleep, and it still feels like I’ m dreaming….

Then you look into my eyes, and I know I’m alive, I can feel I’m safe, I’m flying here with you.

I’m alive for real, here with you.
